Give me some feed back… Jill Scott ripped this poem….didn’t she? didn’t she?
Like everyone else in the world, I watched ‘Idol last night. Now I am not ashamed to admit it, the audition sessions of the show are my favorite part. The only problem with watching it is that I watch it with my eyes part close. I can’t help but to close my eyes. I feel so bad for some of those people who audition and they know they can’t sing. Well what if they had a life coach, or prehaps a mentor anyone.
Follow me here. A life coach, someone to tell them ”Hey maybe you might want to try, I don’t know, hitting a note?” Or “Maybe, you may want to try to…ah…be your own person?” Oh…Oh…”How about, trying to holding a note?” I am sure you can go on and on here. no need. I believe Simon does enough.
Well, due to some technical difficulties, I haven’t been able to post anything about mentoring. But listen to this…”MENTOR IT HELPS!” Happy National Mentoring Month.
I like that song by queen….(I am sure most of you all did too!)
Far too often we take for granted who we are and were we come from. By we, I mean those of us who were born and raised in the same city or town. All of our lives we interact with people that we perceive to be just like us. Our parents, born of the same heritage. Well, what if this wasn’t so? What if your orientation was split between two cultures or two races? How hard or easy would it be for you to identify with one race or the other? Will you be accepted by one race and denied by the other race? Will you get sick of answering the question “What are You?” finally snap then tell people you are HUMAN.
This Week On The Jackson Knight Show: Biracial & Beautiful, we speak candidly to women and men about their bi-racial bi-cultural experiences.
